Newsletter Q1 2023

MAC Precision Newsletter 2023

We have been very busy preparing for 2023. At the end of 2022 we met with most of our suppliers to determine their expectations for the next year, find out how lead times were developing, get the latest information on any changes being made at the company, and meet new employees that had been hired during COVID time.

Also, we hereby announce the entrance of a new supplier that can bring added benefits to your company’s requirements. Please review Retuner below.

Grindel – They are finishing a major construction operation to the front façade of their building as well as renovating their offices. The front entrance, offices, and conference areas have been improved and updated, now ready for visitors. They have also been busy in the production area where several new machines have been installed to relieve bottlenecks and streamline production. Their lead times are most competitive.

Ondozabal – After struggling much of the last 2 years to answer inquiries with an offer on a timely basis they have now boosted their personnel and received an injection of cash to invest in equipment and further improvements as needed. They are gearing up their metal spinning capacity with four Leifeld machines producing parts for refractories and armaments manufacturers. Their welding and machining continue at a steady pace.

Retuner - RETUNER develops and supplies digital solutions specifically designed for Industry 4.0 projects of small and medium-sized businesses. It is a turnkey digital solution that interconnects the machines on the shopfloor and enables them to communicate with the company ICT systems. RETUNER is web based, fully integrated, highly configurable, and adaptive to any shopfloor condition, interoperable with any new or existing machine or production line.

Shuton – Now 3 years into their relationship with Nadella Shuton has come out stronger financially stable investing in new equipment and increasing personnel. Much of their production is exported mostly to other European countries, but a large portion still goes to the far east. Their market share of extrusion equipment has increased after initially introducing the Heavy Duty Ballscrews in 2018. Machining equipment continues to be the focus for their production with ball screws being supplied up to 200 mm diameter and 15 meters long.

TDG - TDG grew more than 30% in 2022. After a successful 2021, TDG Clamping Solutions, not only reached their sales objective for 2022 they surpassed it significantly. Order income reached 6.5 million euros representing an increase of 34% from the year before and well ahead of the projected 5.8 million for 2022. In addition to ever increasing size of chucks and meeting precision demands TDG has closed major projects in Italy, Korea, and Nordic countries for complex solutions with added value. The first Smartchuck, the latest technical development which TDG displayed at the BIEHM and AMB Stuttgart shows, has been sold. We have great expectations for the success of this development. TDG is also installing a new Mazak Vortex i-630 with Palletech, which permits an exponential increase in production and reduction of fabrication costs. They expect to have this running by summer.
